A must-see scenic spot in a lifetime - Longji Rice Terraces in Guilin, with a thousand-year history, the most beautiful terraces in China

October is the season of golden rice fields swaying in the wind, and it is also the most beautiful and spectacular time. Last October, we went on a self-driving tour from Guangzhou to Longji Rice Terraces. Surprisingly, the journey was smooth and unimpeded. With great enthusiasm, we drove over 600 kilometers in 8 hours, traversing winding mountain roads to reach our destination. We stayed at the Ink Longji Homestay (Qian Ceng Tian Ti Viewing Platform Store), with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering daily views of the terraces. We decided to stay for six nights, leisurely climbing to Jin Fo Ding, the No. 1 and No. 2 viewing platforms, and wandering through the deep forests, stopping to daydream. We woke up early to watch the sunrise, sipped some wine and tea, enjoyed farmhouse dishes, breathed the fresh mountain air, checked if the rice in the Longji terraces was ripe, and took countless photos with golden backgrounds. We spent six days living an isolated life. Jinkeng Dazhai Terraces, with 3 viewing platforms The No. 1 viewing platform (Xishan Shaole) is the highest viewing point in Longji and an excellent spot to watch the sunrise. The No. 2 viewing platform (Qian Ceng Ti Tian) is the most famous in Jinkeng Dazhai, offering a spectacular view of the layered terraces. The No. 3 viewing platform (Jin Fo Ding) is located opposite the No. 1 and No. 2 viewing platforms. It takes about 50 minutes to walk one way. You can take a cable car up the mountain to overlook the terraces and walk down to enjoy the scenery along the way.
