The Anchor Tap

The Anchor Tap near Tower Bridge must be the most authentic though, with its small rooms, ageing furniture, log fire, low lighting, bevelled windows and the like. I'm a big fan of this place, I enjoy the warmth on the inside, the intimacy of the small rooms, the pleasant chat you overhear and the glow that envelops it on the outside on a cold, dark evening. There's a darts room, pool room, music room and bar room to choose from and they're all as 1950s as you can imagine.
