There are plenty of translation apps available these days, so just make sure your phone battery isn't dead. lol Even if you can speak English, if you learn simple greetings and thank yous in the local language, you'll be treated 50% more kindly! I actually did all my sightseeing on foot! Bus and trains run between Lisbon and Porto for around 5 euros, so I recommend traveling around! 💰Next, money: With the yen currently so weak, you'll want to save as much money as possible if you're planning a trip to Europe! Portugal has some of the lowest prices in Europe (although unfortunately, I can't say it's significantly cheaper than Japan!) Also, as long as you have a credit card, you won't need much cash! If you plan to visit markets, flea markets, or independent shops, be sure to bring cash. You may need coins for things like accommodation taxes, restrooms, coin lockers, and tips.
