Portas do Sol (Miradouro das Portas do Sol), Portugal This is one of Lisbon's most popular viewpoints, located high up in the Alfama district. From here, you can overlook the iconic, whitewashed old town of Alfama, with its red tiles and whitewashed walls, and the Tagus River in the distance. The viewpoint is located within walking distance of the Monastery of St. Vincent and the National Pantheon. While ideal for photography during the day, dusk is especially popular, with many people flocking to admire the sunset and the nightscape.
