Hong Kong to Guangxi: Four Days and Three Nights on the Li River

"Guilin's scenery is the best in the world." When visiting Guilin, you must see the mountains and waters, and the most famous is the Li River. Taking a cruise along the river, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and clear waters. There are three types of cruises from Guilin to Yangshuo: three-star, four-star, and five-star. All three types of cruises follow the same route, with the difference being the facilities and dining options on the boat. We chose the three-star cruise this time, and the experience was great. Transportation: The three-star cruise departs from Mopanshan Passenger Wharf, which is about 30 kilometers from Guilin Station. Due to heavy traffic in the city, it is recommended to leave at least an hour in advance from the city center. Cruise Cost: 215 RMB per person. Children under six years old or under 1.2 meters tall are free, but you need to provide their identification information to get a zero-cost child ticket. This is for counting the number of passengers, as the cruise does not allow overloading. Cruise Duration: The entire journey is about 60 kilometers and takes approximately 3.5-4 hours. You can order meals when booking the ticket, with regular meals costing 30 RMB per serving. The boat also offers instant noodles, fried small fish, and other snacks. The water here is clear and green, and you can vaguely see a long and wide stone slab through the water, hence the name. Nine Horses Fresco Hill: On the 416-meter-high stone cliff, yellow and white patterns can be seen resembling various postures of horses. There is even a folk song that goes: "Horse watcher, horse watcher, how many horses do you see? Seeing seven makes you a second-place scholar, seeing nine makes you a top scholar." The scenery of the Li River is unique, with water flowing through gorges, the boat sailing along the mountains, dense shade on both sides, continuous and uninterrupted, reflecting in the river.
