Jincheng Cui Fujun Temple | The only remaining high-platform building from the Han and Tang dynasties.

|Only high-platform buildings from the Han and Tang dynasties remain. The Cui Fujun Temple is located in Beijie Village, Liyi Town, Lingchuan County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. It was built to worship the eldest son, Cui Jue, the magistrate of Fuyang County. It is also known as Xianyingwang Temple. Cui Fujun, also known as Cui Jue, was from Leping (now Xiyang County, Shanxi Province). In the seventh year of Tang Zhenguan, Cui Jue entered the officialdom and appointed his eldest son as county magistrate. It is said that he "handled affairs of the Yang during the day" and "decided matters of the Yin at night". After his death, he was listed among the immortals and a temple was built to worship him. Cui Jue served as the magistrate of several counties during his lifetime. After his death, he entered the underworld and became "President Cui". Because the county magistrate was commonly known as Fujun, the temple dedicated to him was called Fujun Temple, also known as Xianyingwang Temple. Lingchuan Cui Fujun Temple is the largest of the existing Cui Fujun Temples and the only existing high-platform building from the Han and Tang dynasties in China.
