I had heard before that Lion Hill is home to Lijiang’s top hotels, including Aman and Qianxuelou. Our choice is right next to the legendary Aman hotel. Aman’s site selection is always exceptional, and to enjoy the same stunning panoramic view of the ancient town at one-fifth of its budget, I must praise my best friend’s keen eye. 📍 The location is truly unique It’s only a five-minute walk to the ancient town’s landmarks, the Big Waterwheel and Sifang Street. Situated in the very heart of the ancient town, it miraculously isolates you from the noisy city sounds, allowing you to enjoy a rustic peace and tranquility. All the dining, entertainment, and leisure facilities are fully available, with popular photo spots like the “Sunshine on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain” viewpoint at the ancient town entrance, Wenchang Palace, and Wangu Tower all within walking distance. Even more surprisingly, you can watch the breathtaking sunrise right from the hotel without stepping outside. 💖 An unforgettable immersive stay experience Warm and attentive service impression: We were greeted by a young and energetic service team whose enthusiasm and attentiveness were just right—making us feel at home while maintaining a comfortable distance. Upon arrival, they immediately took over our heavy luggage. A morning feast to awaken body and mind: Breakfast was a fusion feast with over 30 Chinese and Western dishes all made to order, ensuring maximum freshness and deliciousness. Freshly squeezed juices and rich coffee were available unlimited throughout the day, both visually appealing and tasty, making it irresistible to take photos. Quality and care in the guest rooms: Every detail in the room reflected the operator’s care. Dyson hairdryers, top-quality “Shangxia” toiletries, and soft, skin-friendly bedding all enhanced comfort. The minibar drinks were unlimited refills, adding a thoughtful touch. A local cultural highlight: The hotel carefully prepared a variety of local cultural experience activities, deeply connecting with the soul of this land. I personally experienced the intangible cultural heritage of Jiama printing and made a Yunnan small coffee bead bracelet by hand—both fun and meaningful. Unfortunately, time was limited, so I couldn’t try more. Opening the doors and windows, the densely packed rooftops of Lijiang ancient town and distant mountains unfolded like a slowly unrolling painting.
