Even the sightseeing buses had long queues. But after the holiday, the trails were almost empty, you could stop and take photos wherever you wanted, and the sightseeing buses were readily available. Close to the East Gate, no need to wake up early ✨ What I love most is the location of this homestay! Just a few steps from the homestay, through the quaint Bouyei-style buildings, and you're at the East Gate of Xiaoqikong. No need to wake up early like those staying in the county to catch a bus. I could wake up leisurely, enjoy a bowl of local rice noodles in the town, and then stroll into the scenic area, much more relaxed than those rushing for the first bus. It's also super convenient for self-driving visitors, as the homestay offers free parking. During the National Day holiday, I heard parking spots were hard to find, but after the holiday, I could park easily without circling around the scenic area. The owner was very thoughtful, asking in advance what time I would arrive, waiting at the door to help with my luggage, and even giving tips like, "Go to the ancient bridge early in the morning to see the mist for a painting-like photo; visit Wolongtan in the late afternoon for the best sunlight on the water." Following his advice, my photos got tons of compliments on social media. The room had a rustic wooden style, with soft and cozy bedding that was incredibly comfortable. Every day, I returned to find the sheets freshly changed and spotless.
