| Longfeng Temple | A thousand-year-old temple hidden in the green mountains of Liaoning. Longfeng Mountain is located in Xiadahe Township, Liaoyang County, about 35 km from downtown Liaoyang, between Qianshan Scenic Area and Tanghe Reservoir Scenic Area, with a continuous natural landscape, 23 natural landscapes, and 5 man-made landscapes. Longfeng Temple was built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, stationed his troops here during his eastern expedition, and Xue Rengui shot an arrow to fix Tianshan Mountain and built this temple. Emperor Qianlong also visited here during his eastern tour. It was rebuilt in 1995, and Aisin Gioro Yucong, the eighth-generation grandson of Emperor Qianlong and the owner of Beijing Zhengci Jingshe, gave the temple five relics of Buddha Shakyamuni, which had been treasured by his family for generations. On May 16, 1999, the only Buddha relic pagoda in Northeast China was laid here. Zhao Puchu, president of the Buddhist Association of China, inscribed the words "Shakyamuni Buddha Relic Tower." The temple is popular, with many worshippers coming here to burn incense and worship Buddha every year, and it has gradually become a pilgrimage site for Buddhist believers.
