Breathtaking Lake Tekapo

The beauty of Lake Tekapo in the South Island of New Zealand is absolutely breathtaking. The snow capped mountains in the background of the sparkling sapphire blue lake makes you want to capture as much as possible of the beauty on camera. Lake Tekapo is part of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve and is perfect for stargazing without light pollution. There are stargazing tours you can join however even without a tour, all you need to do is gaze up and see a sky filled with stars. Make sure you have some warm layers with you as it gets very chilly especially when there is a wind blowing. While in Lake Tekapo, would definitely recommend to try the below: ♡ Fish and chips from The Better Batter - light, hot and crispy, loved the coleslaw that was served together as well. ♡ Pavlova from Morelea Lakeside - this is a house where the owner, Angie, serves freshly made pavlova with fruits. The Pavlova was amazing, definitely recommended.
