Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto: The Ultimate Solution for Bad Luck!

I'm not usually superstitious, but since the start of the year, I've been hit with a series of inexplicable and unfortunate events. That's when I realized this year is my 'yakudoshi' (unlucky year). Thinking it couldn't hurt, I decided to go to Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto for a purification ritual! Even though I usually slouch when sitting at work, I straightened my back as much as possible in front of the deity, putting on my best behavior and relying solely on divine intervention. After the purification, I had a lavish lunch at Nakamura-ro, a restaurant within Yasaka Shrine, hoping to gain even more blessings! Upon returning home, I made sure to use all the charms, talismans, sacred sake, salt, and bonito broth I received from the shrine. I wore, displayed, and consumed everything I could. Whether it was thanks to this or not, I felt like everything started to fall into place smoothly, like puzzle pieces clicking together. I'm not usually one to believe in these things, but this experience made me realize that there's no harm in believing!
