Kyoto | Sanjusangendo. Sanjusangendo in Kyoto is one of the world-famous ancient classic Buddhist buildings in Japan, housing the pinnacle of Japanese Buddhist statue art, all of which are national treasures of Japan. Sanjusangendo is affiliated with the Nanrui Mountain Myohoin, officially known as the Rengeo-in, 125 meters long from north to south. Because its main hall is divided into thirty-three sections by columns, it is commonly known as Sanjusangendo, one of the longest wooden structures in the world.
