The art of entertainment by Geisha in Kyoto

I told myself long ago that wheb i get to visit Japan, i wanted to go to Kyoto to see the Geishas. Geishas are highly trained women in diverse arts such as singing, dancing, serving, instrument, theatre, languages etc). Traditionally Geisha's role is to entertain men, in modern days, they help provide chic and cheerful atmosphere for her clients in different occassion. For the japanese, to be served by a geisha is an honour. I went to Geisha District Gion, and you can see many of them out in the streets, wearing traditional colourful kimonos. There are a lot of things to do abd visit in Kyoto: 1. Arayashima Bamboo forest - this was magificient. It is different than the rainforest im used to. 2. Toji temple - it is part of the world heritage and makes nice picture as a memory. Kyoto is famous for buddisht temples, shinto shrines, majestic palaces and beautiful gardens 3. Japanese food trail..i love japanese food and kyoto is like the store house for japanese culture and heritage, food here is still usibg traditional ingredients and taste amazing, i had lots of tofu, eel and learned to prepare matcha drink properly. 4. Hike through Tori gates at Fushimi Inari and you will never experience anything like it. 5. Just wander around, get up early start your day early, just enjoy the stroll as the city restarts the day. Start early and you will appreciate what you see. 6. stay close to where the sights are as transportation can be costly 7. Visit and have a walk at the Philosopher's Path in Higashimaya along the cherry trees. it is a long walk of about 2km. but you will find it very pleasant. 8. There are a lot of shrines and temples to visit, they are eveywhere and have their own history Kyoto is perfect to touch base with japanese heritage and it was a wonderful experience. #hiking #nationalpark #awesomepic #couplestrip
