Tiger Leaping Gorge is worth visiting several times.

The hiking route at Tiger Leaping Gorge is also a "spectacular, magnificent, and extraordinary sight" and is rated as one of the world's top 10 classic hiking routes by National Geographic. Tiger Leaping Gorge is divided into three sections: upper, middle, and lower. Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge: It takes more than 2 hours to drive from Lijiang to the ticket office. If you are elderly or have health issues, we recommend buying a ticket for the escalator. If you can't drive, you can take a tourist bus from the ancient town, or hire a car or carpool. There are many local drivers with small business vehicles. After walking for about 20 minutes, you will reach the viewing platform for the big tiger. Here, you can see the river water crashing against the rocks. The water is so powerful that it seems like thousands of troops are charging forward. It is truly awe-inspiring. Then, walk along the guesthouse and enjoy the spectacular scenery of Tiger Leaping Gorge! Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge: This section has a two-way road along the cliff by the river. Rocks often fall here, so if you are not a confident driver, we do not recommend driving here. However, if you are looking for a thrill, it is a great driving experience. This section has the best scenery. There are three routes to get down: Zhang Laoshi Guesthouse, Tianti Guesthouse, and Yixiantian, which form a loop. The whole hike takes about 3 hours. There are many photo opportunities. We highly recommend staying at Zhang Laoshi Guesthouse for one night. Choose a room with a view of the river and snow-capped mountains. It is truly breathtaking. Recommended hiking routes at Tiger Leaping Gorge: 1. If you are fit, start at Naxi Yage and take the full route, which takes two days and one night. Halfway Guesthouse is a popular guesthouse along the way and is worth staying at for one night. 2. If you are not fit and just want to experience the hike, start at Chama Guesthouse, then go to Halfway, Longdong Waterfall, and Zhang Laoshi Guesthouse. On the second day, go to Yixiantian, take photos at the bottom of the valley, and then return to Zhang Laoshi Guesthouse and go straight to Lijiang. 3. If you only have one day, we recommend carpooling to Chama Guesthouse, then going to Halfway and Zhang Laoshi Guesthouse. This is the easiest route and is suitable for beginners. Highlights: Halfway, Tina's, Yixiantian Scenic Area, Tingtao, and Zhang Laoshi Guesthouse.
