The Charm of Kumejima

There weren't many people on Kumejima during the long weekend, so it was a really peaceful time. After arriving on the island, we settled down at Kume Island, and for dinner, there was a small restaurant area in front of the hotel. We rented an electric scooter to get souvenirs and went to a nearby supermarket. We were shocked at the outrageous prices of vegetables, but perhaps this is the fate of remote islands. The next morning, we took a 15-minute boat ride to Hatenohama Beach, one of Kumejima's attractions. The crystal clear water is truly beautiful, and you can just sit there and daydream on the sand for as long as you like. It's hot in the summer, so half a day is probably enough. After returning to the island, we swam in the hotel pool, and the Kumejima soba restaurant in front of the hotel was delicious again.
