Kumejima

About 3 hours from Okinawa's main island (Tomarin). A beautiful remote island comes into view. Beautiful sandy beaches, clear waters, and a land rich in nature. Hatenohama is in a class of its own. You get to the beach by boat, and if you're lucky, you might even see some sea turtles! There aren't as many tourists as on the main island, and the warm local people are also charming. There are also a variety of restaurants, which is great! In particular, "Yanguwa", which was featured on TV, serves delicious Okinawa soba noodles.
