Six Senses Samui Hotel

I booked an Ocean Front Pool Villa. The villa is divided into two floors. The upper floor consists of the bedroom and bathroom, which are of a decent size. The sea view is stunning and extends all the way to the bathroom, which I really liked. From my room, I had a full view of Koh Phangan. The bedroom has a high ceiling, making it feel spacious and not cramped. The room is wide, and everything is well-arranged. The bed is incredibly soft—I fell asleep as early as 8 PM. Normally, I’m not a fan of wooden, old-style hotels, but I really liked this one. The bathroom has an outdoor zone, which is very enjoyable. You can shower comfortably with your partner as there are separate showerheads and a rain shower. The lower floor features a private pool of a decent size with a depth of 1.4 meters. The seating area is spacious, and there are many beautiful photo spots that I think ladies would love. Another favorite spot in the hotel is the Infinity Pool. It’s very large and runs alongside the sea view. During sunset, it’s absolutely stunning and is the most beautiful spot in the hotel. The hotel’s central pool is divided into two sections, with another pool near the beach, which seems more suited for chic photo opportunities. A special perk is the Sunset Cocktail Party at Dining on the Rocks every Thursday. Guests can enjoy unlimited drinks for one hour (5:00-6:00 PM). For those who love to drink, it’s worth it. They offer cocktails, sparkling wine, red and white wine, and beer. Each day features different activities, so it’s worth checking with the hotel for details. As for the service, it’s excellent. The staff are always smiling and greet you every time they see you. They’re very consistent. When calling for a buggy, it arrives on time. In the morning, you can visit the farm to see the chickens and pick eggs to make your own breakfast. However, I was too lazy to wake up early and opted for something simple instead. The breakfast was good—not disappointing. There were some Thai dishes like Kua Kling, chicken curry, and sweet and sour eggs, along with various egg dishes. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The hotel emphasizes an eco-friendly style. Even the straws are made from lemongrass, which I really liked. There’s hardly any plastic in the rooms, as they use paper-based materials. Even the face masks provided by the hotel have a unique design, which is quite cute. The only downside is the mosquitoes. There are so many, even during the day at the beach. It’s quite scary. The staff couldn’t resolve this issue, which is understandable as it’s hard to control. However, providing mosquito repellent or some form of protection for guests would be better. The beach itself is just okay, similar to Choeng Mon Beach—not very beautiful but clean. The hotel has a private beach area that’s limited to the hotel’s property. There’s no specific name for the beach. However, they do offer a full range of water activities. Overall, I really liked it and wasn’t disappointed.
