A Stroll Through Exotic Streets: A Journey to Kitano Ijinkan Street

Day 1: A Dialogue with History and Architecture In the early morning, I took a ride to Kitano Ijinkan Street in Kobe, a district filled with exotic charm that has been home to foreign merchants since the Meiji era. The grandeur and elegance of European-style buildings greeted me, making me feel as if I had traveled to a foreign land. My first stop was the Weathercock House, a red-brick building with a spire, elegant and solemn. The interior has preserved its 19th-century appearance, immersing visitors in the passage of time. Next, I visited the Moegi House, with its light green exterior standing out against the blue sky. The combination of Western furniture and Japanese elements inside reflects the unique charm of cultural fusion. Day 2: Leisurely Strolls and Coffee Time The next day, I decided to slow down and wander through the winding alleys of Kitano Ijinkan Street. The cafes and craft shops lining the streets each have their own unique charm and warmth. I chose a small shop, ordered a hand-brewed coffee, and quietly enjoyed the warmth of the afternoon sun on my skin. Afterwards, I strolled to the observation deck, overlooking the city of Kobe and its harbor. The expansive view, where the sea meets the sky, was truly refreshing. These two days, the exotic charm and leisurely atmosphere of Ijinkan Street added a vivid touch to my journey, leaving me with endless memories.
