Karimunjawa Island is located in Jepara Regency, Central Java. It has a separate land, about 80 KM from Jepara, a city which is about 2 hours from Semarang. Traveling to Karimunjawa doesn't have to be on a tour group! A backpacker style can also do too. Before going on a trip, make sure to research first and you must know the ship's departure schedule. What about the best time to karimunjawa? If possible avoid December, January or February. Usually in these months the waves are bigger.
