Gangba County is located in the eastern part of Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, China, on the southern slope of the eastern section of the Himalayas. Gangba County is situated at the junction of China, Nepal, and India, bordered by Yadong County to the east, Nyalam County to the south, Tingri County to the west, and Dingjie County to the north. It serves as a natural border between China and countries such as India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Pakistan. The Himalayas stretch from Nanga Parbat (elevation 8125 meters) in Kashmir in the west to Namcha Barwa (elevation 7782 meters) at the great bend of the Yarlung Tsangpo River in the east. The scenery along Highway 219 is picturesque, featuring the most magnificent snow-capped mountain wonders, traversing the roof of the world.
