Marriott Mena House, Cairo is one of Cairo's most historic and luxurious five-star hotels, nestled at the foot of the magnificent Pyramids of Giza. This location was the site of the 1943 Cairo Declaration, where US President Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Churchill, and Chinese leader Chiang Kai-shek met to discuss post-World War II Asia, making the hotel a historic landmark. Although we didn't stay, we made a point of dining in the outdoor restaurant. Gazing at the Pyramids, we felt like we were transported back to history. The menu was diverse, the service attentive, and the atmosphere wonderful. While the prices were a bit high, a meal amidst such scenery and historical ambiance is truly a rare treat. Mena House's architecture blends Arabic and colonial styles, with elegant and spacious courtyards and balconies, creating a space where one can experience both ancient civilization and modern luxury.
