Dongyangpo, Shijiazhuang: A Little Overwhelming

From Nanluzhuang Village to the hiking starting point (also the parking point) Zaomengou, there is a one-way cement road. It's almost impossible to pass another car, but fortunately, there are not many people coming. 2. From Zaomengou to the Dongyangpo suspension bridge group, there is a one-way tractor road or gravel road. The men we met at the entrance of the village told us to drive up there. We decided to hike up there to feel the cold wind. This section of the road is a bit difficult for ordinary cars, but SUVs or motorcycles should be fine. 3. From Dongyangpo Village, there is a one-way cement road that leads directly to the suspension bridge group. As for whether the entrance of the village is open now, I'm not sure. 4. There are other hiking routes at Dongyangpo, which you can search for yourself. After more than ten years of exposure to the sun and rain, some of the iron wires on the suspension bridge have fallen off. I walked a short distance, and before my adrenaline kicked in, I saw signs of falling off and returned. So this trip is risky and not recommended. If you come here to exercise, it's not bad. It's all tractor roads, and the slope is not steep. There is a river valley next to the tractor road, and there should be a small river in the summer when there is a lot of rain. If you go now, your head will be buzzing from the wind. There are also several temple stoves and an old house halfway up the road, which has many stone tablets inside. The inscriptions are mottled, but you can vaguely make out that they are inscriptions from Zaomengou Village from the Qianlong period to the Republic of China. There are also many persimmon trees, walnut trees, and Chinese toon trees (I can't recognize the other trees). I picked up a few Chinese toon fruits. It turns out that nature's aesthetics are all about geometry.
