Withered branches, thin water, tranquility and indifference: a winter trip to the ancient town of Chaji.

Chaji Ancient Village is located in Taohuatan Town, Jing County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province. It is said to be the largest existing ancient village from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The best time to visit the ancient village is spring, when yellow rape flowers bloom outside the village, trees inside the village sprout new buds, and the roads and streams are covered with green grass. Add to that the gray roofs and white walls under the blue sky and white clouds and the warm spring breeze, and it is the perfect way to visit the ancient village. In the rare season of late autumn and early winter, we stepped into the ancient village of Chazhi. There were few people, withered branches and thin water. The ancient village had restored its original appearance and atmosphere, brushing away the hustle and bustle of tourists and the prosperity of commerce. This is what an ancient village should look like, peaceful and indifferent. Chaji Village preserves many ancient buildings, bridges, ancestral halls and temples, all of which are mainly brick and wood structures with exquisite carvings, showing the style of Huizhou architecture; and we strolled on the bluestone road, feeling the simplicity, and the charm of the ancient village soothed our hearts. ⛺【Tips for playing】: You can take the high-speed rail to Jingxian or drive yourself; it is 60 kilometers from Jingxian to Chaji. 200 meters east of Jingxian Passenger Station, there is a bus to Chaji, which runs every 30 minutes and arrives in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. 🛬【Itinerary】: It is in the same county as Taohuatan Scenic Area, 20 kilometers away.
