Anhui | Chaji Ancient Village is on another level of beauty

Anhui is never short of beautiful ancient villages. Chaji Ancient Town, with a history of over 1,300 years, is like a virgin land with few tourists. Legend has it that there were 108 ancestral halls, 108 temples, 108 bridges, and 18 archways for filial piety, chastity, and officials in ancient Chaji. Today, the alleys of Chaji Ancient Town are deep and quiet, poetic and tranquil. I spent half a day visiting the art gallery, Caishen Bridge, Baogong Ancestral Hall, Degong Hall, Honglou Bridge, and Erjia Ancestral Hall (watched a performance for a few minutes). Recommended activities: 1. Caishen Bridge in spring is a must-see, with a huge apricot tree with a graceful posture. 2. Honglou Bridge is the best place for taking photos. 3. For dining, I recommend Hongyuanlou, a local restaurant. I ordered small river fish for CNY 68, Chaji stir-fry for CNY 28, and rice wine dumplings for CNY 28. The total was CNY 124, and it was enough for two people. 4. The fridge magnets in the cultural and creative store are beautiful. 5. You can buy some handmade items from the villagers, such as three bamboo woven pendants for only CNY 10.
