Wenchang Pavilion, Gaojia Village, Jiangyong, Hunan

Wenchang Pavilion is located behind the Wutong Ganying Temple. It was first built in 1612 during the Ming Dynasty, but was later destroyed by fire. The current building was rebuilt in 1918. The pavilion is four-sided, four-storied, and has four layers of flying eaves. It is a brick and wood structure with a mortise and tenon frame and a beam-lifting frame. The roof is a hipped roof with blue tiles and flying eaves. The whole structure is shaped like a city wall arrow. It is 7.6 meters long and wide, and 15.3 meters high. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Jiangyong County.
