Shaxi Ancient Town.

Shaxi is a surprise that comes out of the poem "small bridge, flowing water, people's home, ancient road, west wind, thin horse" and really exists in front of us. It is the earthy yellow wall and the gate of the village, which is as quiet as the earth. The Bai people's houses are extremely exquisite and elegant, and the cultural heritage is deep and rough and delicate. It is the beauty of humanities that every household can stop and read their life stories through couplets and decorations. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers, surrounded by clouds and mist, half of the world, half of the world, forgetting time and space, just want to stay in this "Peach Blossom Spring" quiet and comfortable... The small ancient town is full of sketchers, and all the art students in Yunnan may have run here. There are also many people taking photos. The ancient tea horse road hundreds of years ago may not have imagined that it would become such a hot photo background in the future. What remains unchanged is the noise and noise of the world. Because I can't adapt to the noisy background sound, I prefer to walk in the fields and villages outside the ancient town. Like the Bai people who have lived here for generations, they cross the Yujin Bridge and imagine their life of working and doing business in the fields. From the east gate and the south gate of the ancient town, it is less than 50 meters to the Heide River. Along the winding riverside trail, there are large areas of paddy fields along the road. After the paddy fields and villages, there are continuous green peaks. Because there are no tall buildings, the vision is extremely wide, and you can feel every grass and tree, every flower and leaf. Like most parts of Yunnan, the sky in Shaxi also changes quickly. Sometimes it is cloudy in the morning, and there is even light rain, but it will clear up at noon, and there may be several showers in the afternoon, so its beauty is dynamically changing, short to one hour, one day, and long to one season or even one year. The sky, earth, clouds, fog, wind, rain, mountains, peaks, valleys, stones, rivers, lakes, streams, forests, trees, flowers, grass... here are all free and happy. The white noise-like wind, rain, cicadas, and bird calls make the noisy world far away, and only oneself is left between the world and the earth, lonely but quiet. I like to climb to the top of Hualong Village and enjoy the paintings of crops in the mountains at the skyline coffee. In different growing seasons, the different colors of plants will form their own beauty. I also like to walk along the ridge after the harvest to the Pioneer Bookstore, and enjoy the exquisite handmade cultural creations in the literary space transformed from the last granary in Shaxi, and quietly read the local culture and history. When the weather is good, order a hand-brewed coffee and dessert named after a book/movie at Bluebird Coffee, and enjoy a comfortable afternoon. The quiet time in Shaxi is particularly close to my imagination and longing for an ideal rural life. There is often a heartfelt sigh: "The landscape paintings and poems of Chinese literati do not deceive me", the ancient people may not find the Peach Blossom Spring here. Thanks to Huang Yinwu, the chief designer of the restoration of Shaxi, the "old as old" method seems slow and clumsy, but it has permanently preserved the unique quiet pastoral life of Shaxi.
