Jianchuan Ancient City Jianchuan Ancient City was built at the end of the Zhizheng period of the Yuan Dynasty (1341-1370 AD), with a history of over 650 years. It is one of the ancient cities in Yunnan Province that retains the most complete Ming Dynasty layout and the most Qing Dynasty buildings. Jianchuan Ancient City is located in the northwest of Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and was originally the administrative seat of Jianchuan Prefecture during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
