To the pergamon city

#celebrateit The ruins of Pergamon are an ancient city located in the northwest of Turkey, built around the 3rd century BC. In the "Acropolis" in the centre of Pergamon, there are many remains of Hellenistic culture, and the "Temple of Trajan" built on the grounds of the royal palace, the "Pergamon Library", which boasts a collection of 200,000 books, and magnificent sculptures of myths and religious scenes. There are "Zeus Great Altar" and so on. Also, on a hill a little further away is the "Asclepion Ruins", which flourished as an ancient medical centre. These were registered as a World Heritage Site in 2014 as "Pergamon and its multi-layered cultural landscape".
