Solo trip to Türkiye | Eat your fill in Izmir, Türkiye's Osaka

📍Kemeraltı Bazaar Kemeraltı Çarşısı Izmir is Turkey's third largest city and the largest port city along the Aegean Sea. Perhaps because it is a port city, there are many bazaars (markets) of all sizes throughout the city, where you can find authentic Turkish food eaten by locals and unknown B-grade gourmet food. It is also known as a city of fine food in Turkey. And so, I ate everything I could in one day at Kemeraltı Bazaar, the largest bazaar in Osaka, Turkey. 🤤 First of all, breakfast 🥞 The classic Turkish breakfast, menemen. Fluffy tomato-flavored scrambled eggs with hot chai. The scrambled eggs are slightly spicy, so you can feel the Turkish flavor. It's not heavy, so it's perfect for breakfast! Next was lahmacun, a Turkish-style pizza. They cooked it on the spot in a big oven. The thin, crispy crust, quickly cooked at high temperature, was like eating the crispy crust of a certain pizza shop. It was so thin that I could eat it all in one go. I ordered the classic one with minced meat on top, but when I looked at the menu, there were more than 20 types! Midje dolma, a Turkish specialty. Rice seasoned with dashi is put inside mussels and cooked. Personally, it's a gourmet food that competes for first and second place in Turkey. Every shop sold it by weight at 300g, but I didn't think I could finish it, so I asked them if they would sell me half the amount, and they were happy to oblige. (It may have been a little more expensive.) This was a bite-sized paella. Rice dishes overseas are exciting for Japanese people, but the rice that absorbed the flavor of the mussels was absolutely delicious. I thought I could eat as many as I wanted, but they fill me up 😂 Squeezing lemon on them makes them refreshing and delicious! Even half the amount is so filling that I'm full. To my regret, I couldn't eat dinner lol After eating salty food one after another, I want something sweet. However, since I was stuffed with midhe dolma, I had some fruit juice 🍎 There are many shops like juice bars throughout the city, not just in the bazaar. You can get a small serving of fresh juice for just under 100 yen 🥤 While drinking juice, I walked to the coastline where the clock tower is in the center of Izmir 🚶♀️ Another attraction of Izmir is that it is about 30% cheaper than eating the same thing in Istanbul. When I went to Istanbul, one midhe dolma cost about 50 yen, but this time, I got a box of 20 for 300-400 yen!! ! Izmir is perfect for gourmets and big eaters. Please visit it 😄 #overseastraveltrip #solotravel #turkey #izmir #turkeytrip #solotravel
