The Hong Kong Science Museum's dinosaur exhibition will end at the end of February. Don't miss it!

The Hong Kong Science Museum's free large-scale dinosaur exhibition "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Eight Big Dragons" will end on February 22 (Wednesday). Citizens who do not want to miss the exhibition are advised to seize the opportunity to visit during the remaining exhibition period. The exhibition has been well received by the public since its opening in July last year, attracting more than 750,000 visitors to date. This exhibition displays eight sets of authentic fossils of species that were once representative of the dinosaur era and highly complete dinosaur fossil skeletons. The precious exhibits come from museums and academic institutions in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania and Morocco. Apart from the Tyrannosaurus, the other seven groups of fossil skeletons, including Triceratops, Allosaurus, Cisalurus, Diplodocus, Spinosaurus, Hatzegopteryx and juvenile sauropod dinosaurs, are all exhibited in Hong Kong for the first time. The Hong Kong Science Museum has even expanded its exhibition space, setting aside a 2,000 square metre exhibition hall to accommodate the display of large-scale exhibits. The exhibition is uniquely designed, using multimedia projection technology and special lighting effects, integrating the latest scientific research and exquisite paleontological art illustrations to recreate unique and wonderful scenes, making visitors feel as if they are personally on the scene and returning to the primitive world. It will be difficult for the eight groups of dinosaurs to be gathered together again after the exhibition. Don’t miss this last chance of this century to fully appreciate the eight classic dinosaurs. The Science Museum will provide three Cantonese guided exhibition tours per day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. During the one-hour tour, the tour guide will lead visitors to understand the prehistoric world from different perspectives, introduce various precious fossils and the latest scientific research results, and reveal the unique body structure and living habits of prehistoric creatures. The guided tour is free of charge. Seats are limited and registration is on site on a first-come, first-served basis. The exhibition is co-organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and the Leading Scholars Charitable Foundation, co-planned by the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Leading Scholars Charitable Foundation, exclusively sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and supported by the MTR Corporation. This exhibition is one of the many projects organized by the Government to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with a grant of HK$630 million from the Hong Kong Jockey Club. It demonstrates that the Hong Kong Jockey Club will continue to uphold its mission of building a better society and walk shoulder to shoulder with Hong Kong. The exhibition production team is huge, bringing together the hard work and efforts of experts from Hong Kong, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy and other places. The exhibition is fully supported by the Leading Charitable Foundation, which also demonstrates Leading Charitable Foundation’s commitment to contributing to society and connecting Hong Kong with the world. For its educational outreach program "My Date with Dinosaurs", the Lingxian Charitable Foundation will launch four free Cantonese weekend guided tours "Dinosaur Discovery Tour" every day on February 12 (Sunday) and February 19 (Sunday). Popular cartoon characters Chibi Maruko-chan and Hanawa will be invited to serve as exploration team leaders of the guided tours, taking everyone to meet the eight dinosaur friends and solve various mysteries. Seats are limited. Registration will start 15 minutes before each guided tour and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. All visitors must make an online reservation for admission. To protect public health, all persons entering indoor venues managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department must wear masks. #goodplacestodischarge #discharge #goodplacesforfamily #holidayfamilytravel #localtravel #goodplacesinhongkong #goodplacesonweekdays #goodplacesonweekends #goodplaces #localfamilytravel #familytravel #parents #familyactivities #check-inattractions #check-in #hklifestyle #hkdaily #hkiger #hkig #hongkong #hk #instadaily #travelhk #discoverhk #explorehongkong #exploringhongkong
