"Crossing the Line - Memory. Realization. Change" Touring Exhibition

The Hong Kong Institute of Architects curated the "Crossing Boundaries - Memory. Realization. Change" exhibition of architectural and urban design achievements to review Hong Kong's fruitful achievements in urbanization and sustainable development over the past quarter of a century as a means of learning new things. The exhibition has been on tour in Hangzhou, Beijing and New York from August to October, and will now return to Hong Kong for its finale on December 9, to be held at Nan Fung Place and Asia Society Hong Kong Center. Exhibits created by more than 40 groups of exhibitors from Hong Kong and overseas present the development history of the international city of Hong Kong in a variety of forms such as innovative installations, immersive experiences, multimedia displays and research and analysis. The exhibition not only showcases a number of inspiring architectural projects and design works, but also hosts a series of dialogue sessions on different topics, architect guided tours and exhibitor sharing sessions during the exhibition, inviting the audience to explore the diverse Hong Kong and savor its resilient humanistic spirit and unique local features, thereby facilitating a cross-era dialogue between the city, tradition, culture and the future from an architectural perspective. In the exhibition "Crossing Boundaries - Memory. Realization. Change", the curatorial team hopes to lead the audience into the world of urban architects. When drawing up the blueprint, they must also substitute professional identities from different sectors, carefully consider history, conservation, urban landscape development, technology and inheritance of local culture, and cross professional knowledge from different fields to create an ideal city with sustainable development. Three local veteran architects from the curatorial team: Mr. Lam Wan-fung, BBS, Mr. Wu Chan-sum and Mr. Siu Kwok-kin, will each host a unique dialogue session in December - "Crossing Boundaries - Dialogue" to share and discuss architectural issues with the public. In addition, exhibitors and a number of professional architects will provide guided tours of the exhibits to the public at the exhibition venue at specific times. "Crossing the Line - Memory.
