【Local Tour|Easy 2-hour round trip route】

Walking from Luk Keng and Fung Keng to Kuk Po is an easy two-hour round trip outing with beautiful scenery along the way. There is a 56K minibus at the minibus station opposite Exit C of Fanling Railway Station to #Luk Keng Get off and walk along Xinlangtan Road to the signboards that say "Jigushuxia" and Fat Kee Store, and just follow that direction. There are signs along the way, so you don't need to look at the map if you just follow them. The first section of the trail is flat, but not paved with concrete. But if you continue along the Luk Keng trail, you will find paved roads! After that, we came to a fork in the road. The one going up the mountain is the Fung Hang Family Trail. If you want to go to Kuk Po, you have to take the road on the left. There will be stairs going up a little bit of the hill, and there will be pavilions where you can sit and rest. Along the way, you’ll see natural wetlands, rocky beaches, and even spot cows! Looking across the river you will see Sha Tau Kok and Shenzhen's Yantian District. When you arrive at the entrance of Fengkeng Village, you will see Yingjia Tea House, which serves Hakka cuisine. There is a public toilet a little further in. But we are not going to enter Fengkeng Village, but continue to move forward along the coast. We walked about 1/3 of the way here. The final stop will be Gupu Pier! At the entrance of Gupu Village there is an abandoned Qicai School, which has a history of more than 80 years and was once a "Bubuzhai" primary school. There is also a store in Kuk Po Village - Song Kee, which also specializes in Hakka cuisine, but is only open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. After a short rest at the end point, you can return the same way, or you can continue to Wu Kau Tang. Google Map shows that it takes 40 minutes to walk, but including the rest time, it is about an hour, so it takes two hours to go back and forth! Afterwards, I took minibus number 56K back. #Holiday Destinations #Local Tours #Outing Routes
