Eat in Jordan | Yat Tung Heen | Michelin-starred restaurant, weekday lunch dim sum from $38

Waffles recently visited the long-admired "Yat Tung Heen" for the first time. The restaurant is located in the basement of Eaton Hotel Hong Kong, and the elevator entrance is located on Beihai Street. Eaton Heen has been awarded #MichelinOneStar since 2017. Waffles likes the tables to be far enough apart. Yat Tung Heen also has a lot of diners during weekday lunch hours, so remember to make reservations in advance. The seating time for the waffle day is 12:45 p.m., and the other two time slots are 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The lunchtime dim sum offer at Yat Tung Heen is only available from Monday to Friday (except public holidays). The dim sum at $38 is the most attractive, and includes shrimp dumplings and siu mai. A bit disappointed with the bamboo shoot and shrimp dumplings ($38), as the skin on at least two of them was worn through. The steamed siomai with scallops ($38) has more scallop flavor than the usual siomai, and the taste is richer. The Barbecued Pork Sesame Huangqiao Shaobing ($48) is full of sesame aroma. The crispy spring roll rice roll ($68) was thinner than expected, and the spring roll skin was not crispy enough, affecting the taste. The quality of the dumplings ($48) named after "Yat Tung" should be guaranteed, and it did not disappoint. The skin is thin enough and the soup is full, it is worth a try.
