Honest rating of everything we ate in Hong Kong 🔥

This is everything we tried in Hong Kong (No sugar coating!) ⚠️ Disclaimer: We did exclude some stuff that's just drinks that are not very interesting to talk about 1. Red Bean Cafe 红豆冰室 🍞 Toast with Luncheon Meat and Egg : 4 / 10 🍝 Fried Noodles: 6 / 10 🥛 HK Style Milk Tea: 7 / 10 📝 Random dinner spot that we came across. Okay for a quick meal, but not worth seeking out. 2. Lan Fong Yuen 蘭芳園 🍲 Macaroni Soup with Ham Set Meal: 7 / 10 📝 Ahhh... An iconic HK breakfast place. Hearty, simple, and unexpectedly generous with egg and sausage. 3. T/EA (Half Tea) 半茶十里 🫖 Premium Tie Guan Yin Sparkling Tea: 4 / 10 📝 Tucked inside PMQ. We just wanted a quick drink after walking for a while, and we came upon this. The drink i ordered was nothing unique. Just pure chinese tea with sparkling water 4. Halfway Coffee 半路咖啡 🧉 Matcha Latte: 2 / 10 📝 Maybe i expected too much from the hype surrounding this cafe but it was so disappointing. Overhyped. Small cup, diluted Matcha Latte. Only good for aesthetics. 5. One Dim Sum 一点心 🥩 BBQ Pork in Rice Roll: 7 / 10 🧈 Pan Fried Turnip Cake: 8.5 / 10 🍚 Steam Chicken and Mushroom Rice: 3 / 10 🥟 Siew Mai: 8 / 10 🍤 Har Gow: 7 / 10 📝 Most dishes solid! But the steam chicken and mushroom rice was not good. It's just steam chicken and mushroom on top of white rice... and the rice was sooooo dry 6. LINLEE 林里 手打柠檬茶 🍵 Signature Phoenix Oolong Lemon Tea: 7 / 10 📝 Refreshing and iconic! Lemon tea fans will lovee! 7. Temple Street Night Market 🥯 Pineapple Bun: 10 / 10!! 🧇 Egg Waffle: 9.5 / 10 🍡 Curry Fishball: 6.5 / 10 🍵 Juicy Strawberry Lemon Tea: 8 / 10 🥟 Pan-fried Dumpling: 1 / 10 📝 Kinda funny that I had my best and worst in one place HAHAHA but damn I couldn’t believe a dumpling could be cooked so dry… On the bright side, the best thing I had eaten during this whole trip was the Pineapple bun at Temple Street! So freaking aromatic and creamy, it was perfect! 8. Bakehouse (Tung Chung) 🍵 No. 5 Bakehouse Tea: 5 / 10 🥧 Beef Rendang Pie: 4 / 10 📝 Wanted to try something different but honestly, just stick to their egg tarts. It's way better than the pie that I had 9. Good View Seafood Restaurant 好景海鲜酒家 🦪 Fried Scallops with Broccoli: 6.5 / 10 🐖 Sweet and Sour Pork: 5.5 / 10 🦑 Deep Fried Cuttlefish: 6 / 10 📝 Probably could have find better restaurants there as we were along the Tai O stretch but we were hungry so we just walk into one 10. Silk. 🧋 Starburst: 6.5 / 10 📝 Popular local bubbletea brand. Refreshing but pricey for what you get. 11. Hop Hing Noodle Restaurant 合興粉麵茶餐廳 🍜 Beef brisket Noodles: 8 / 10 📝 Pleasant surprise. Great broth and chewy noodles! 12. Milk Cafe 牛奶冰室 🥯 Pineapple Bun: 6 / 10 📝 After having the Temple Street one, this was disappointing... but i do have to say, this was a HUGEEE portion! You can't tell from the pic but it was BIGG so extra points for that 13. Lung Tong Fong 龍糖坊 🥭 Mango Pomelo Sago: 8 / 10 📝 Wanted a post meal dessert place and we came upon this. Served both traditional and more modernized desserts. Their Mango Pomelo Sago was creamy, fresh and perfect amount of sweetness 14. City of Darkness ♨️ Hotpot with Mala Soup Base: 9 / 10 📝 Loved the old-school vibe and fresh ingredients. Pricey but worth it if you’re willing to splurge a little. 15. Yung's Tangerine Peel Roast Goose Restaurant 🪿 Yung's Tangerine Peel Roasted Goose with Rice: 6 / 10 📝 Portion was big. Meat was a bit tough, sauce on the sweeter side and service was very HK style HAHA 16. King Bakery 蛋挞王饼店 🥧 Portugese Style Egg Tart: 7 / 10 🧋 HK Style Milk Tea: 9 / 10 📝 Last meal before our flight ✈️ Egg tart was a win and the milk tea was strong and addictive!
