Tai O - Unique experience in HK

#falladventures #travel #familytravel This was our second time to Tai O. We were here back in 2019 & simply had to come back for the curried fish balls & the Condiments from the local stores. There is a little stall where you first come into the village from the bus parking area that sells curried fish balls. (See pics) Don’t go past without getting some, they are the best we’ve tasted & it was so good to come back & try them again years later. The other highlight for us was restocking up on some of the delicious sauces they sell there, especially: * “Salted, Szechuan, crispy fish sauce” * “Spicey XO sauce” * “Salted, crispy shrimp sauce” The Fishing Village is very faraway from city. You need to take train to Tung Chung for exchange with Bus no 11 to Tai O. Went there during winter, the weather was nice, pretty windy, and there’s a restaurant that serves breakfast, also stores that sell seafood product. Not a big village but worthed to try when you visit HK. Ps : Most Stores Open around 11:30 so better come to Tai O during that time If you catch the “Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride” up to the Big Buddha & take a look around there, you can then catch a bus or taxi down to Tai O to wander the village, try the foods, have lunch & a drink etc then that’s pretty much a full day by the time you catch a bus/ferry/taxi back.
