Transportation Guide: MTR Stations Must-visit Attractions: Central Market, Mid-Levels Escalator, Tai Kwun, Stone Slabs Street 💞 Reasons to Recommend: Central is located in the heart of Hong Kong Island, home to many major commercial banks and political centers, yet it also fully preserves many historic buildings and alleyways. Architecture and transportation, old and new coexist, creating a conflicting yet harmonious aesthetic. Lan Kwai Fong on Hollywood Road, art street murals everywhere, the streets are full of influencers who aren’t awkward, the awkward ones are other people’s influencers. Central Market is a newly revitalized market by the government, though called a market, it feels more like a department store food street and vendor market. The very long Mid-Levels Escalator, not having to climb stairs and freeing your feet feels great. Maybe Tony Leung and Faye Wong think so too. Tai Kwun, the former police headquarters building, there’s a mango tree there. It’s said that officers who have eaten mangoes from that tree get promoted. The architecture is very stylish; police station, court, and prison are all here! Providing you with a complete one-stop service! Stone Slabs Street, a Grade 1 historic site in Hong Kong, on a 45-degree slope, full of vendors with a strong sense of history, and the relaxed vibe of old Hong Kong. (I also remember once losing three moms here!) Landmark, IFC, the big brands inside all look like things I can’t afford! Central Star Ferry Pier, taking the Star Ferry can travel across Victoria Harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon and various outlying islands. Finally, I reached the Hong Kong Observation Wheel. By the way, I’ve been here so many times but never taken a ride! I’ll just leave it as a wish. Next time then. If you want to experience the clash of modern and historical Hong Kong, Central is a must-visit!
