The sand at Lower Cheung Sha Beach is fine and smooth, appearing a pale yellowish-white under the sun. Cheung Sha Beach is divided into Upper Cheung Sha Beach and Lower Cheung Sha Beach. Lower Cheung Sha Beach has more unique restaurants and cafes. Compared to Lower Cheung Sha Beach, the more secluded Upper Cheung Sha Beach is quieter and features snack stalls and barbecue 🍖 pits where you can bring your own food 🥘 and charcoal to grill. Both Upper and Lower Cheung Sha Beaches are managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, so lifeguards are on duty, and there are changing rooms and restrooms. If you just want to stroll by the sea, you can use the outdoor shower facilities directly. Activities: At Lower Cheung Sha Beach, you can experience various water sports. Equipment rental and instructor services are available on-site, but it is recommended to book in advance with the vendors. Activities include paddleboarding, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, windsurfing, surfing, and more. Transportation: From MTR Tung Chung Station Exit B, take New Lantao Bus No. 11, 11A, or 23 from the bus terminus outside. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Cheung Sha Beach. To get to Lower Cheung Sha Beach, get off at the Cheung Sha Ha Tsuen stop.
