Travel Back to the 1980s｜Hong Kong Railway Museum

Today, I’m introducing a hidden gem in Hong Kong—the Hong Kong Railway Museum. It’s a fantastic spot for taking photos, perfect for dates or family outings! The venue isn’t very large (check out photos 10-12 for details), but I spent over two hours snapping pictures 🤭! Inside the museum, you’ll find a locomotive 🚂, historical train cars 🚞, railway signs 🚦, the old Tai Po Market train station building 🚉, and a museum office selling souvenirs (unfortunately, I missed checking it out 🙂↕️—I’m curious about what souvenirs they offer!). When I visited, the train station building was under construction, but it didn’t affect the photo opportunities with the trains! You can even step inside the train cars for an immersive experience of 1980s train seating—perfect for capturing stunning shots 👍🏻! The tracks, train windows, and the connections between train cars are also great spots for photos. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the “lazy train conductor cat” 🐱 under the train! 👗 For outfit suggestions, avoid dark colors, especially black, as they blend into the background. Bright, light, or white clothing works best for photos. ⚠️ If you’re wearing shorts and short sleeves, remember to apply mosquito repellent.
