#newyearnewtrip My husband and I visited Kowloon Walled City Park, a tranquil escape filled with history and charm. Nestled amidst bustling Kowloon, the park transported us to another era with its traditional Chinese-style pavilions, beautifully landscaped gardens, and serene ponds. We strolled along winding paths, exploring historical relics like the South Gate and remnants of the once-dense walled city. Informative plaques and exhibits detailed the park’s transformation from a lawless settlement into this peaceful sanctuary. The Yamen, a preserved Qing Dynasty building, stood as a highlight, offering a glimpse into the past. The park’s quiet beauty and rich history made it a memorable experience for us both.
