But sometimes it's so hard to get every flavor. Even after going to multiple convenience stores🏪 and supermarkets, they might not have everything. I heard Calbee recently released several limited-edition potato chip flavors, so I started visiting several stores, but I couldn't find the abalone and shrimp noodle flavors I'd been dying to try. One day, I passed by this Japanese restaurant in Admiralty and saw they were having a sale on their all-you-can-eat menu. Originally $388, it was now $248—a fantastic value! Best of all, they had all the limited-edition flavors! Each diner could choose one! 🤩 Two of us went, and we managed to find two flavors I couldn't find! The all-you-can-eat menu has a wide variety of dishes, including sashimi, sushi, hot dishes, desserts, and drinks. For sashimi, I ordered hamachi, salmon, octopus, scallops, and clams. The sashimi platter, garnished with edible flowers, was beautiful. For sushi, my favorites were the tuna and scallop sushi with black truffle and sea urchin sauce and the grilled red shrimp sushi with sea urchin sauce. The former had a fragrant black truffle flavor, while the latter had large and delicious shrimp. The sushi rice was perfectly formed and didn't fall apart. The spicy hot pot was a special treat. Choose your own ingredients, all in one pot. It was incredibly spicy. The pan-fried foie gras was rich and flavorful. The garlic-fried half-shell scallops were bursting with garlic flavor. The scallops were tender and not tough. The green curry soft-shell crab with pancakes had a slightly spicy green curry and was delicious. The scallops were perfectly cooked, not too dry, and the fish was very tender. The restaurant offers several Japanese drinks, not found at other all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurants. I recommend the Kumamon Gyokuro tea, which is a great way to break up the greasiness. And drinkers, beware: the restaurant offers all-you-can-drink Choya plum wine and sake! For dessert, there's red bean paste and several Japanese popsicles. The sea salt lychee popsicles are refreshing. The vanilla popsicles are smooth and fragrant. The day after our meal, I tried the abalone and shrimp noodle-flavored potato chips. The former has a burst of fresh abalone flavor, allowing you to enjoy the taste of abalone at a fraction of the price – well worth a try. The latter has a fresh and sweet shrimp flavor that you won't be able to stop eating.
