Tai O Fishing Village

Hidden in a corner of Lantau Island, Tai O Fishing Village is a great place to visit if you are taking the Ngong Ping 360 cable car. You can take a taxi (around 70HKD) or a minibus to get there. Unlike the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, you can slow down in the fishing village, enjoy the sea breeze, and savor the rich flavors of dried seafood in the alleys. You can also try special seafood like squid balls and grilled dried seafood with honey. Souvenirs are easy to buy here, and while they may not be fancy, they have a unique local charm. You can also take a small boat to explore the waterways between the stilt houses and admire the Venice-like architecture of Hong Kong.
