Autumn Gourmet Festival

Cafe Kool at Kowloon Shangri-La is collaborating with renowned culinary master Chef Yin Dagang for a Japanese autumn festival-themed buffet from October 12th to November 17th during the "Ode to Autumn" Food Festival. Chef Yin, deeply acquainted with the essence of seasonality in Japanese culinary culture, has meticulously designed a series of unique dishes. The event also featured the presence of Kenichi Okada, Consul General of the Consulate General of Japan in Hong Kong. The lively atmosphere included a tuna-cutting ceremony featuring whole bluefin tuna shipped directly from Japan. Two chefs expertly and effortlessly cut each section, which was then served to the public. The bluefin tuna was tender and succulent, with a rich, sweet flavor. The restaurant's surroundings are imbued with Japanese charm, with many maple leaves and decorative displays. While enjoying a delicious meal, one can also experience the cultural heritage of autumn in Japan. Upon entering, you'll notice the dessert section boasts a wide variety of dishes 🍰🧁, beautifully presented and attractively presented. 😋 Western-style cold seafood dishes include long-legged crab, frozen crab, lobster, and mussels. The Chinese hot dishes offer a wide variety of seafood. Dishes that impressed me include: Crab Claw and Scallop Royal Golden Soup 🦀 Made with fresh crab claws and scallops, paired with a sweet and refreshing broth, it's bursting with flavor. 👍 Jiangnan Hundred Flower Chicken with Crab Roe Sauce is a signature dish. The chef stuffs the chicken skin with shrimp paste, shaping it into a chicken shape. The rich crab roe sauce is refreshing and not greasy. Cod Fish Saikyo Grilled: Cod marinated in Saikyo miso is grilled to a crispy exterior and tender inside. The fried dishes are also very popular, including fried tofu and tempura. [Gilbert Wagyu] 🐂 The tender Wagyu beef is breaded and deep-fried, resulting in a crispy exterior and tender meat within.
