Charcoal Grilled Chicken Festival @ Kido

When it comes to skewers, chicken always comes to mind! I particularly love going to Kido, a place with an excellent atmosphere, as it is one of the few places that uses charcoal for grilling. They also use various types of Japanese chicken to create their delicious dishes. The Japanese-style chicken festival here is sure to satisfy any chicken lover's cravings. We came here to enjoy a series of gourmet dishes made from different types of Japanese chicken. First, we tried the homemade sesame dressing Japanese herb chicken salad for $148. Made with tender Hakata chicken and paired with fresh salad greens mixed with Kido's secret sesame dressing, this salad is rich and flavorful, definitely not bland. Next, we had the charcoal-grilled black pepper Tokushima Awao chicken gizzards for $78. The high-quality Awao chicken gizzards are seasoned with spicy black pepper, making them flavorful and chewy. The Tandoori Yamato chicken drumsticks for $39 are made with tender Yamato chicken, marinated in Indian curry spices and yogurt before being charcoal-grilled. The result is a unique, aromatic, and mildly spicy flavor. The salt-grilled Tokushima Awao chicken wings for $48 are made from robust Awao chicken wings, grilled to a crispy skin and juicy meat perfection. Simply seasoned with salt, the chicken flavor shines through. Chef Kimura's family-secret Miyazaki Nanban fried chicken for $188 uses tender Miyazaki chicken. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bringing a taste of the chef's hometown and a sense of happiness. The Miyazaki-style chicken neck charcoal teppanyaki for $258 uses rare parts of the Yamato and Hakata chicken necks. The charcoal-grilled aroma permeates the tender and elastic chicken neck meat, making it my all-time favorite. If you love chicken and the aroma of charcoal grilling like I do, I highly recommend enjoying a meal at Kido.
