【Lantau Island】Discovery Bay, Mui Wo: Beautiful sea and sky, visit the Chinese and Western statue of the Virgin Mary and the 14 Stations of the Cross

#springplace2024 Spring is the best season for hiking. This time we set out from Discovery Bay to Mui Wo. The scenery along the way is so charming that you will never want to leave. Depart from Discovery Bay Pier and walk along the narrow path to Nim Shue Wan. From this peaceful bay, you can see Ping Chau, Kau Yi Chau and Hei Ling Chau on the other side. Continue along the path and you will reach Our Lady of the Temple. The most distinctive feature of this church is the pavilion building that combines Chinese and Western styles and commemorates Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. There are fourteen Stations of the Cross along the way to commemorate the suffering of Jesus. Then, keep climbing up until you reach the highest point along the way, where you can see the beautiful scenery of Discovery Bay, Tsing Yi and more. Finally, walk down the stone steps and you will reach Mui Wo Pier. Every time I go to Mui Wo, the most important thing I cannot miss is to taste the giant pizza next to the pier. It is particularly satisfying to taste it after exercising.
