Eat in Causeway Bay | Simple Thai | Authentic Thai food in a great environment

#Wofuandshrimpcakes After shopping in Causeway Bay, I wanted to eat #Thai food. Waffles remembered "Thai Simple" which has been open for many years, so I brought shrimp cakes to start the meal. Waffles really likes the environment of the restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant, the waiters all speak Thai, and it feels like you are in Thailand. I ordered the waffle with fresh coconut ($58), which was icy and sweet. There are many special drinks. Shrimp Cake ordered the Golden Dream ($60), which is fresh pineapple juice and fresh mango juice. The ratio is just right and it tastes very good. The Grilled Pork Neck Salad ($108) has a generous portion of pork neck, and it tastes especially good when wrapped in fresh, crisp lettuce. Shrimp Cake’s favourite Tom Yum Goong ($92 for two) has plenty of ingredients and is on the spicy side. The stir-fried water spinach with ma la chan ($105) is flavourful but not too salty or greasy, and the water spinach still retains its green colour. The egg net of Royal Prawn and Fried Golden Edge Vermicelli ($138) is so beautiful that you don’t want to break it, and the fried golden edge vermicelli tastes authentic. The royal prawns taste sweet and sour, a bit like Hong Kong-style shrimp rolls in ketchup. The fresh mango sticky rice ($55) has ten mango pieces that are as big as a casserole. It tastes sweet and is served with white glutinous rice with coconut milk. Black glutinous rice is also available.
