Victoria Harbour

Victoria Harbour, commonly referred to as Victoria Harbour, is a seaport located between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the three great natural harbors in the world. The harbor is deep and wide, making it a natural good harbor. The name Victoria Harbour comes from Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. It is accessible all year round. The British had early recognized its potential to become an excellent port in East Asia and later seized Hong Kong from the Qing government to develop their maritime trade business in the Far East. Victoria Harbour has always influenced Hong Kong's history and culture, leading the development of Hong Kong's economy and tourism industry, and is one of the keys to Hong Kong's transformation into an international metropolis. Victoria Harbour is a port and maritime area located between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. The waters of Victoria Harbour are broad and the scenery is enchanting. In the northwest part of the harbor is one of the world's largest container transport centers, the 'Kwai Chung Container Terminals'.
