Tai Kwun's Brand New Exhibition: Night Hong Kong + Century Crafts + Neon Lights

In the 1980s and 1990s, the streetscape filled with high-rises was adorned with colorful neon signs, symbolizing the essence of night in Hong Kong. As times have changed, the old signs have gradually disappeared, and the art of neon is no longer as prosperous. The new exhibition 'Neon Legacy' at Tai Kwun will take everyone back in time, with over 20 neon signs, workshops, and guided tours within the exhibition to revive the unique neon culture of old Hong Kong and integrate it with the new generation, highlighting cultural heritage. 'Neon Legacy' spans two different spaces within Tai Kwun, starting from the duplex exhibition room at Block 01, where visitors can first understand how neon lights glow and deconstruct the uniqueness of Hong Kong's neon lights. The creation of neon lights showcases the masterful craftsmanship of the artisans, adding a fresh element to the nostalgic atmosphere.
