My husband has a day off today so we can go on a date Lunch was spent strolling around Lai Chi Kok Came across this restaurant offering a nice set lunch and decided to give it a try The seating is very spacious, perfect for someone with long legs like me We both chose the 🐮 Beef King set L7 Wagyu Superior Rib Meat Set Meal $198 Comes with salad, soup, and for an additional $22, a white peach lactic acid soda The staff explained that after lighting the stove, wait for 3 minutes before grilling the rib meat. The aroma was enticing as it cooked, and the first bite was savored plain with a mouthful of rice, enjoying the fragrant beef and unique buttery taste of the Wagyu. The second bite with a bit of salt highlighted the meaty flavor of the ribs, and the third bite with kimchi balanced out the greasiness, satisfying three different palates in one go. The soup looked clear but had a hint of white pepper, which was quite nice. The fresh salad with vinegar was appetizing, and the green peppers and red onions were crunchy. The white peach lactic acid soda wasn't too sweet and was excellent for cutting through the grease. L6 Wagyu Sirloin Large Cut & Lean Meat Set Meal $298 Comes with salad, soup, and for an additional $22, a pineapple lactic acid soda The staff said they could help us grill the sirloin So we started by grilling the Wagyu center cuts After grilling for a dozen seconds, it was ready to eat, dipped in raw egg with a mouthful of rice - absolutely delicious Then we grilled some onions and zucchini before asking the staff for help. They were very attentive and asked whether we preferred our meat more on the rare or well-done side, of course, the rarer the better to enjoy the tenderness of the beef After grilling, they helped us cut it in half and kindly reminded us that dipping it in egg would make it even tastier. The pineapple lactic acid soda had a strong pineapple flavor, sour and sweet, slightly more intense than the white peach. If they had provided a foil pouch to warm up the egg sauce, it would have turned into a steamed egg over rice, which would have been amazing 🤣 so delicious that I wouldn't want to miss out on anything. The service was excellent, and I will definitely come back to try other dishes.
