You can easily enjoy authentic Korean food without buying a plane ticket! Located at @airsidehk's Busan BBQ restaurant @dongbaek_hk, this is their first branch in Hong Kong. I've been there twice since it opened a few months ago. For a picky eater like me, this is not an easy task. Definitely have to give it a try! After we were seated, the waiter brought a series of side dishes, including dried radish, sprouts, spinach, kimchi, pickled radish, soy sauce vegetables and pumpkin puree. If you want more, just add $40 for unlimited supply! They also prepare a variety of dipping sauces, including barbecue sauce, sea salt and Korean soy sauce. Plus, they'll prepare your cheese corn and pickle egg slurry right at the grill, and then personally grill your meat to perfection. This kind of thoughtful service definitely deserves extra points, attitude 💯! Grade 1 Pork Don’t miss this mouth-watering pork belly! It is grilled on a unique special grill pan, the likes of which I have never seen in other Korean BBQ restaurants in Hong Kong. If you want to enjoy a feast of freshly cut meat, the pork belly and pork belly platter ($428) is definitely the best choice; or you can order the pork belly alone ($238) to enjoy these two large pieces of fresh meat. Tip: Remember to add lettuce ($38) to wrap the pork for a more refreshing taste! Beef We chose Angus Skirt ($268) and Wagyu Belly ($158), both of which were grilled directly on the grid. Both cuts were packed with flavor, but the skirt steak stole the show. Each slice is cut evenly and has a crispy and delicious crust after being baked. It is so delicious that you can't stop eating it even without dipping sauce. Ginseng Chicken Soup $188 This is without a doubt the most delicious ginseng chicken soup I have ever tasted! The waiter expertly cut the tender chicken, revealing the ginseng and glutinous rice inside. This cooking method makes the soup richer and sweeter, it is definitely an amazing dish! Citrus Fried Chicken (half portion) $128 Honestly, I didn’t expect their fried chicken to be any better than specialty fried chicken restaurants. The fries on the bottom weren't the crispiest, but the fried chicken was really, really tasty. Each piece is drizzled with sweet Jeju orange sauce and is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Stone Pot Rice $98 The waiter carefully mixed all the ingredients and the crispy rice at the bottom was my favorite part. Cheesecake with ice cream $55 This dessert is a little surprising, especially at this price. Vanilla ice cream and fudgy cheesecake are a match made in heaven.
