The Wang Chung Stream is one of the nine major streams in Hong Kong. Its source is composed of many tributaries in the Wong Ling and Pat Sin Leng areas. It converges at the abandoned village of Heng Shan Jiao and flows into the Plover Cove freshwater reservoir at the end of the stream. The route to explore the Wang Chung Stream ends at the Pat Sin Leng Nature Trail in the middle reaches. The entire stream is spacious and open, with majestic and beautiful waterfall scenery. Similar to other streams, visitors need to climb and wade through water. However, in terms of difficulty, the Hengyong stream introduced this time has mountain roads bypassing almost all the more difficult locations. If you have good skills or rich experience, you don’t even need to wade through water. Of course, there is no reason not to cool off in this hot summer! Even if the explorer has no experience in mountain stream climbing, as long as there is a guide, it can be regarded as the first experience of exploring a mountain stream. Before exploring the Hengyong Stone Stream, you may want to spend an extra half hour or so to visit the Bride's Pool and the Mirror Pool Waterfall near the Bride's Pool Bus Terminal. Then go back to the bus stop and walk along the road towards Tai Mei Tuk for about 5 minutes. There will be stairs on the slope on the right side of the road that lead down to Heng Chung Rock Stream. Follow the mountain path beside the stream or wade upstream, and in less than 10 minutes you will find a small triangular waterfall, which is also called the Triangle Waterfall. There is a mountain path on the right side of the waterfall that you can easily climb to the top of the waterfall. The stream becomes even more spacious after that, so spacious that you can only see a large stone slope with the water flowing down the slope in a very weak manner. Just when you are wondering if you are in the stone stream, the stream suddenly turns right and you see a dangerous cliff in front of you, with a waterfall cascading down hidden in the valley. This is the highest waterfall in the Hengyong Stone Stream - Longzhu Waterfall. The waterfall is divided into two layers, the lower waterfall can be seen under the waterfall, while the upper waterfall is hidden above the top of the waterfall. If you want to see the upper waterfall, you can only climb up the right cliff. Beginners should definitely not try it. After admiring the spectacular Longzhu Waterfall, you can step back a few steps in front of the waterfall and find the mountain path on the left side of the stream, and easily climb to the top of the waterfall. After that, there is a gentle stream path with several waterfalls, which is quite relaxing. Afterwards you will see a small dam in the middle section. You should stand on the small dam and look back at the high cliff behind you. On the top of the cliff is a red guava that looks like a human face. You have to admire the wonders of nature. After walking a little further after the dam, you will reach Shuangbi Lake, a deep pool of dense green with a waterfall slowly falling behind it. This is also a good choice for a long rest and a swim. However, this pool is indeed bottomless, so you have to be careful when visiting it. After a long rest, you can cross Shuangbi Lake on the mountain road on the right. There will be a gorge waterfall if you continue up. There is also a mountain road on the right to go around it, but don’t rush to climb the mountain road, because the surprise is in the depths of the canyon. Walking along the edge of the stream, you will see a vast side waterfall composed of three or four waterfalls at the end. Compared with the previous Longzhu Waterfall, this side waterfall is more layered, and there is also a small plank road that leads to the bottom of the waterfall. The cool water hitting your body can really relieve all the summer heat. After reaching the top of the waterfall, the stream path begins to flatten out and you begin to enter the Raosi Creek section, which is another long, easy-to-walk flat stream area. In almost all locations, there are mountain roads connecting to the stream. Following the winding stream upwards, you will see a small bridge for the hiking trail at the exit of the stream. Turn right and take the mountain road down the mountain to return to the Bride's Pool Bus Terminal.
